Rumor: Lack of rumors & CCAA visiting U.S.
Shhhhh, hear that? It's the absence of rumors. This eerie quiet is probably the calm before the storm, but personally I think it's kind of nice. Ahhhhhhh.
The only thing I've been hearing lately is that a delegation from the CCAA, including the director, is visiting various agencies in the U.S. right now. This morning (as I type, I think) they're meeting with invited local clients from CCAI in Denver. Rumor has it that they just finished a visit in LA and might go to NYC and Canada next before returning to China sometime after April 22. (The return date is unknown.)
Early reports (from people who attended a meeting) say there is no mention of timelines, referral delays, or anything of that sort. And there is no opportunity to bring those issues up. Speculators say the next batch of referrals won't be mailed until the director returns to China to sign them.

Just want to say a HUGE thank you for your site! Your "Salsa Rumor Alerts" have been such a blessing to us - even when it is bad news out there. Perhaps it is your warm and friendly demeanor, but you seem like friends down the street we'd drink margaritas with and just chat about our adoption with. Why doesn't anybody have the guts to ask them about referrals?
If they are making a tour in the USA, Canada and even Iceland, I think it is only normal that somebody should ask them what is going on.
I mean, if they come to visit they can expect some questions ...

Ok Commenting on the CCAI visit we were there and asked the Director General himself what the timeline was. He said it was 10-12 months to match. The review room head said they are reviewing October LIDs right now, so they are way ahead. We'll see if this is true and long term.
